Quote for the day

"If your mother ain't happy, you ain't no happy" - unknown. This quote struck right on the center of my brain.

You surely heard about unconditional-love and associate the concept with mother and mother only. No one in this entire universe would usher love that has no strings attached. Mother is such a person. At times I get emotional about the affection and love I get from my mom. Fear fills my heart at the thought of whether I could ever give her something similar in return. If my mother wishes something from me, that would be for me to be happy and lead a trouble free life.

Back to the quote - if a person makes his or her mother sad, that person is leading a tragic life. The quote makes perfect sense when given a little thought. It also made me introspect several of my actions in life and whether I ever caused pain to my mother during these few years on earth. Unfortunately a resounding "yes" was the answer.

What can be done to avert a similar situation in the future? I will have to strive hard to be a better person, learn from past actions and keep in mind that I do things that please my mom. When she is happy, I am happy.
